Everyone types. Almost nobody can prove they got better at it.

This is not a gap in enthusiasm. It is a gap in instrumentation: the skill is used constantly, taught rarely, and measured almost never.
  1. Typing is assumed, never taught

    Students and staff type every day for coursework, exams, records, and reports. Almost nobody is taught to do it properly, and the cost shows up as slow work rather than as a visible failure.

  2. Nothing is measured

    An institution can say its learners use computers. It usually cannot say how fast they type, how accurately, whether that improved this term, or which learners are falling behind.

  3. No evidence to report

    A principal reporting to a board, an NGO reporting to a funder, and a bootcamp reporting to a partner all need the same thing: a document with before-and-after numbers in it.

The learner owns the account. The institution owns the aggregate.

This is the line the whole tenant model is built on, and it is worth reading before you decide anything else on this page.
  • The learner owns their account

    Typing history, practice progress, goals, and rank belong to the learner permanently. An institution sees named individual detail only while that learner is an active member of one of its teams.

  • Leaving ends named access

    When a learner leaves, the institution keeps anonymised aggregates and loses named access to that person. The learner keeps everything.

  • Private AI conversations stay private

    Swift AI chats are never visible to an institution owner, an institution admin, or an instructor. There is no plan tier that changes this and no support override.

  • Nothing is published by default

    There are no public institution reports and no cross-institution learner leaderboards. In a product sold to schools, those would be minors' names.

  • Role-based access inside the tenant

    Owners, instructors, and members see what their role needs. Classroom mode hides real names from other learners entirely.

  • Every privileged action is recorded

    Institution creation, plan changes, seat changes, team claims, and detachments are written to an audit trail the institution can be shown.

Learners who complete the path sit a final assessment on text they have not seen before. Swift Type's server issues the credential, or it does not.

That restriction is what makes the credential worth putting your name beside. Every certificate carries an ID and a public verification page anyone can check.

Priced by term, not by month.

Schools do not budget monthly and bursaries do not pay by card. An institution is invoiced once per term or semester, for a band of seats, at a total that is known before the term starts.
